Welcome to my Mapping Freedom website. My name is Jaylynn Conner, and I am a part of the cohort of undergraduate students participating in the 2025 Mapping Freedom. This program, which is hosted by The University of Southern Mississippi, provided me the opportunity to conduct research and create maps that focused on a particular topic during the Civil War and Reconstruction eras. This website will serve as the location of my final research project, maps created during the program, and weekly blog posts about my progress and experiences.
