3 Accomplishments from the week:

My main accomplishment for this week is that I finally read and analyzed all of my 135 letters and sorted them into their respective categories. I also sorted my spreadsheet in a way that will help me create my map. Finally, to top off the week, I managed to safely drive to Arkansas with three of my fellow cohort members, solidifying group bonds.

3 things preventing my best work this week:

One thing preventing my best work this week was that I found more letters than I had originally allotted my time for, so I had to reorient my schedule to go through the extra letters. I also struggled with the week being short and designating my time properly while preparing for my holiday plans. Similarly, I enjoyed the meals this week, but having them so close together made me feel like I had less time than usual to work on my things.

3 things I learned this week:

This week, I learned how to customize the pop-ups on my QGIS map, export my map, and get it onto my website. I also learned about valuable resources for making presentations and posters, like places to find templates and free images. The final thing that I will highlight is that I learned about the basics of what goes into getting a graduate degree, and graduate programs are very specific to each individual.

The next action/step/thing I need to do for my research:

The next thing I need to do for my research is to begin writing my results, discussion, and conclusion sections.
