3 Accomplishments from the week:
My two main accomplishments for this week are that I created a rough draft of my research paper and research presentation. However, before that, I got through all of my data, categorized it, and drew conclusions after weeks of painstakingly sorting through 135 letters, and that was a major accomplishment on its own. I also practiced my presentation for the first time, and although it was incomplete and needed work, being able to get on a stage and talk about my research felt like a major accomplishment.
3 things preventing my best work this week:
The main thing preventing my best work this week was that I was having trouble getting my QGIS map to work properly. It took a lot of time, crashed layers, and troubleshooting to make my map work. Due to struggling with my map, I faced the issue of being crunched for time because I needed the data from my map for my research paper and presentation. The final thing that prevented my best work was that I felt sick for the majority of the week, so I was a bit inefficient.
3 things I learned this week:
Because I spent so much of this week fighting with QGIS to get my map working, I learned a lot about the limitations and uses of QGIS. One thing that I learned was how to export my map and make a layout with my maps for presentations. Thanks to Jayson, I also learned how to change files for my map after exporting it. On another note, I also learned how to make my own AI chatbot with data specific to what I need.
The next action/step/thing I need to do for my research:
The next necessary action I need to take to complete my research is to make some edits for clarity in my research paper and presentation so that I can officially finalize my project. I also need to continue practicing my presentation.
